I don't know that I would classify it as a hip hop album.

I've heard people consider them alternative hip hop but I've never heard this album yet so I don't know. I'm going to listen to later on tonight.

It's a ****ing brilliant album and there's a hip hop element in that the vocal structure/delivery of some of the songs is rap-esque, (think Loser by Beck), but beyond that it's pretty much an indie rock album, albeit a very good one.

I was actually very tempted to quote that very same line as my response to this thread. That song is probably the closest to hip hop that Alopecia gets, but the lyrics throughout are equally genius and bizarre.
