I know that's the best part of it!

Yeah, I had Shabba on replay when I first heard it off of the album.

It was just trite, and for a beat that was so haunting and avant-garde for mainstream rap acts, I expected more from the hook. Same with the first song on Rocky's Long.Live, the second verse just wasn't comparable to the first. He had good flow and delivery but literally was rapping about nothing, unlike the heavy social commentary on the first verse. The hook was SICK though. And the beat is amazing.
I know what you mean but what is consistent is their production. It took me awhile to get on board with Asap Mob but I really love their choice of beats

how could they with those horrible lyrics and his gapped tooth lisp? Every crew/group of people need a fall guy to bounce jokes off of.

I'm surprised as well. Shabba is the type of track that normally I would hate because it reminds me so much of a French Montana track but I tolerated it for the beat. The production is what made me like Trap Lord.

/\ don't want to hijack a thread but while we're on production I'm really feeling Spenzo Heaven can Wait. I played that song like 10 times in a row the other night. I love when dudes come out with beats that are a little different and not just club bangers or trap music beats.

Just the production then? You don't like any of the raps? I really enjoyed the rapping on "Lord". Ferg and Bone killed it!

I haven't gone and paid attention to the lyrics/rapping part of it. I do know that I favorited Lord as one of the tracks to go back and listen to. Maybe my ears did pick up on how well the rapping is but there was something I enjoyed about that track and made me favorite it.

why do the rules stat that?
Because we don't want people spamming our forum full of self promotion. There are constantly people who don't want to contribute on the music forum and instead promote themselves. This is not that type of music forum. End of. If you want to promote your stuff go to Muzic forums or whatever it's called.
