Change the lettering and you get, "OK on the 7th u think I'm dead yet I'm really alive", which could be seen as a reference to the fact that on the 7th day after he was shot he 'passed on'.
Machiaveli, the philosopher, once wrote that a staged suicide was a good way to fool the enemy.

My guess is he staged his death, got reconstructive surgery, and is now living fat somewhere in the tropics in the witness protection program.
