yeah, dre is one of the best rap producers of all time, his one album still blazes everything out today and guaranteed to make the crowd go wild, signature beats for days. Legend

He was good. He fell off I think, Kush, was just another, Still Dre, tbh. It's good, no doubt, but I prefer RZA & Nujabes over Dre, now.

Is this for real? Illmatic assembled some of the greatest producers hip hop has ever seen. Large Professor, DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Q-Tip, L.E.S? Damn... It's this sort of production that Nas has lacked on his last few albums!

As for Dre, his work has been great on his Chronic albums, and even on niche projects such as Truth Hurts and his work with Eve, but his body of work just doesn't compare to DJ Premier, or even Rza as someone already mentioned. But you can't take away from Dre that he was a large part of why west coast hip hop dominated the early 90s until Rza helped change that with the Wu Tang Clan phenomenon.

I find the Dr Dre headphones overrated personally, a friend has some and I find my Sennheisers much more comfortable and similarly strong regarding sound quality. And they are only £50, rather than £180.

I actually sort of agree with Surreal. Ellmatic recreated them to great effect, but some of the production on Illmatic is actually boring.

Dre is a legend hands down. Was apart of the group that created "Gangster Rap" and is one of the greatest producers of all-time.

if Detox exists and is ever released, it will be a day to remember in hip hop.

I will buy like four of those records if it is released before I become a senior citizen.

Supergroups don't always work out. I mean look at the Fantastic 4. So corny.

Anyone else think it's absurd Dr. Dre didn't produce one beat on the Kendrick Lamar album? His last few singles he hasn't produced either...Kush, I need a Doctor, etc

There's no doubt Dre couldn never produce another beat again and still be HOF, but I still think it would be great to have another certified banger from the good doc to listen to instead of him just dropping a guest verse on somebody else's track
