yes I hear that quite often and just because I like some crappy music doesn't mean that's all I listen to.

I listen to some pretty good things as well.

omfg yes!

He only had three good tracks on it and I'm not counting "Erase Me"

The whole darker theme that he was going for I didn't like at all.

Hopefully he goes in a different direction with Wizard.

you guys really think that? i thought that MOTMII was the better one :(....

Drake is the same every time he hits the booth while still jacking Lil Wayne's general rap style. The only difference is he's a little more clean cut.

Kid Cudi i'm not too familiar with, but i did like Day n Nite. Butt fuck him.

I've actually agreed with everything Matious has said. I think Kanye West and Lil John suck also just my opinion. Rap in general has been on a decline for me, there are some gems out there but its getting harder to sift through the dog **** to get to the diamonds.

Matious rants are great but I'm not really looking forward to Sage Francis and Dessa, as I have a feeling what his reasoning will be and while it may be true to an extent, I don't think it's a bad thing at all.

Take Lil Wayne and Kanye West, mix them together. Filter out any individuality, originality, personality or creativity. Pour it into one of those big plastic novelty cups with the advertising for "Step up 2 the streets 2" or w/e, and that overpriced bull**** in the cup is my not-quite-there metaphor for drake.

The dude might as well not even be a real person. He follows lil wayne coat tails so ****ing closely if it wasn't for the fact that he occasionally sings his own hook (im on one!) they would be the same artist.

You know how people blame nirvana for the creation of nickelback and bush and all that watered down bull****? I blame Lil Wayne for drake, tyga, nicki, big sean, and all this watered down, bland cornball punchline rap.

Drake isn't a musician as much as he is a driven entertainer, who knows how to play the part of a trendy rapper. It really isn't that ****ing hard with the help of a studio. Childish Gambino is just as good, any run-of-the mill comedian can write these punchlines, you just got to look the part.

Reading that you clearly have not spent any time listening to Drake's music or actually learning anything about his artistry or him as a person.

And no he is not the "same artist" as Wayne at all...

But I guess because he is known and is a platinum selling artist you wont ever try to appreciate him or even accept that your whole opinion of him and of many other artists is based off stuff you pulled out of your own ass.

I happen to agree with Matious on that one, but my mind could be changed.

Yea, he's not the "same artist", he's pretty much the same artist. There's nothing to appreciate in Lil Wayne or Drake raps.

The albums go platinum because hard ass little kids/teens buy it, even though their rapping is whack...

Maybe you didn't read Matious' post correctly, but I agree with what he said and lol'd at what you said. I doubt I'm alone.

Edit: I mean, who decided that the kid in the wheelchair from Degrassi needed to become a mainstream rap star? He had/has no skills to speak of. It's like a record exec. picked him up for his image and molded him into part of the money making machine. I know his rhymes and wordplay are awful, but whats worse is everybody wants to excuse it. "Hello, you're a rapper. Your job is to be good at rhyme and wordplay. Why are you READING a 'freestyle' over the radio?" That was enough for me... reading a pre-written rap and telling people on the radio he's freestyling it.

QFT, only more on the line of the new Young Money rappers.
