Default Best Battle MC (Poll)

Who do you believe is the best freestyle battle MC of all time?

Edit: The poll didn't post, and it refuses to let me add it in the edit post feature. Help?

Until a poll can be added, please contribute your selections to the list:

Jin
Eyedea
Immortal Technique
MC Juice
Supernatural
Eminem
Iron Solomon
Mac Lethal
Big L
Cassidy
Freeway
KRS-One
TheSaurus
Chino XL
Rhymefest
Crooked I
Canibus

For me, I guess it boils down to a preference of style. Do you go with the ones who can flow non-stop, the ones with the best punchlines, the ones with the best flow, etc? My personal favorites are MC Juice, Eyedea and Jin. As far as who is the best, I would have to give that to Supernatural.

Where is the promised poll? This thread is full of lies and disappointment

I'd give it to Eyedea in his early days.
He knew exactly what to say, and how to say it, and put it into context in his battles. Always ripped into his opponents. Speaking of rip... RIP.

Jin's pretty good too, though. I've just seen more of Eyedea's stuff. I wish they had battled... that would have been epic. Have they?

Thanks for fixing the poll. I would love to have seen a Jin vs. Eyedea battle, but it never happened. Eyedea killed everyone when he won HBO's Blaze Battle, and Jin went into the 106 & Park Freestyle Friday Hall of Fame. Conan and I were also reminiscing about the Rap Olympics battle between Eminem and MC Juice. Battling really is an art, it's different than just rapping. If you go out there and talk about your swag and your gold chain, you're gonna get ripped to pieces by any rapper who's half decent at punchlines.

Most punchline rappers are beastly at freestyle battles.

Jin and Cassidy are two of my favorites

I don't really like the ones that just keep flowing because majority of the time you can tell that they already have that stuff written ahead of time and memorized it.

If you are going to battle talk about what's right there in front of you. burn up his holey jeans and dirty ass white sneakers like things that are happening right there in your face not throwing around insults based off of some creative shit that you wrote two nights ago.

Big L pretty much defines the epitome of a "punchline rapper", so it'd be hard for me to vote for anyone over him. He takes gun play and run-of-the-mill street violence to a higher level with his lines, something not most MC's can do.

Mos Definitiely not. He's a good consciuos rapper and freestyler, but he doesn't really hit hard with punchlines IMO. I think Black Star was kind of anti-battling and anti-beef.
