It's okay, but throw away.

If this is a Money Store track that didn't make the cut, that's fine by be. It's cool and unique by mainstream hip-hop standards, but it's not up to my standard for Death Grips and they obviously didn't think it was either. Here's a statement from the band about No Love Deep Web...

Quote:

the album is titled NO LOVE DEEP WEB
we are working on 20 tracks and looking to narrow down to 13.
it will be released by epic records in the us and columbia in the uk.
the release is scheduled for fall 2012. most likely late october.
we are in correspondence with Crispin Glover and working toward a video collaboration with him relating to this album.
we've been recording the album primarily in sacramento , ca. and oakland , ca. for the past five months.
we will be mixing it in shanghai , china.
there are no manually programmed drums on this album ,
the beats are being played live on a roland electronic v-drum set or acoustic drum set by zach.
there are no features , guest collabs or outside producers.
the material is cold , bass heavy , minimal , rock & roll influenced and could simultaneously fit into a rave or dance club context.
it is essentially rap and electronic music while at times extremely aggressive.
we plan on supporting this release live internationally.

*the track that comes out sept.10 as part of the adult swim series is a previously unreleased track from the Money Store and is totally unrelated to the new album NO LOVE DEEP WEB.
NO LOVE DEEP WEB is another sound and vibe entirely.

- Death Grips
The cold, base heavy, minimalist line reminds me of Takyon. Considering it's my favorite track by them and is pretty popular with most Death Grips' fans, this should be a good one and hopefully not them moving farther away from the batsh*t insanity that was one of the reasons Exmilitary so damn good.

This is apparently a track hidden on the Death Grips website that was found not even a few hours ago. Considering they have been promoting the album with an 'Alternative Reality Game', this doesn't surprise me. There is nothing proving it's from The Money Store or No Love/Deep Web.

The production is kinda meh on this one, the production should be loud as **** like on TMS or Exmilitary. Ride is going pretty nice on this one but still, it's a little meh.

Goofle 09-30-2012 06:31 AM

0/2 so far on these new tracks (or whatever they are).

Frownland 09-30-2012 08:36 AM

Ja the production's pretty weak on this one. I wish they would use more harsh noise like on System Blower, I really dug those breakdowns.

So if I check back in 3 hours will there be something cool?

Gucci Little Piggy 10-01-2012 12:37 AM

Also, they posted this on Twatter:

"1.come up and get me 2.lil boy 3.no love 4.black dice 5.world of dogs 6.lock your doors"

"7.whammy 8.hunger games 9.deep web 10.stockton 11.pop 12.base rattle stars out the sky 13. artificial death in the west"

So apparently there's a tracklist now. The song titles sound good enough, and thank Yorke that they didn't put True Vulture Bare on it. There's hope.
