so i decided once more to try to be open minded and relisten to death grips, cause they're making noise, people see something i don't, makes me curious.

listened to most of exmilitary on youtube... currently on the money store.. i can say i like their energy and ****... it was always the retarded sounding rapper that threw me off.. but now i can see why it's basically necessary for him to sound that way with the kind of production they're using... and i can get why people like this group. it's pretty good music for getting energized.

Not yet. MC Ride must be the beast you worship first.

Saw them in Vancouver, second day of the tour. It was totally bizarre, absolutely feral energy, I haven't seen an audience rip each other apart like that since Lamb of God killed half of Vancouver in 2006. Excellent performance, every track felt twice as viscous with live production, much more bass, much more bite. Red stage lighting only, breath and smoke blanketing the stage in a dark red haze, Ride's skeletal silhouette pacing back and forth in front of what looked like the gates of Hell.

Totally ****ed.

What's their best album?
I was not really able to get into them because I don't quite like the MC's style of rapping,
there's just not enough flow there for me.
But I'd love to love them, when I heard Zach Hill was in a hip-hop band I **** yeah'd pretty hard.

Government Plates had the least amount of MC Ride and more from Zach Hill and Flatlander. You might end up enjoying that the most.

Thx.
Actually I'm not aversed to get into his style of rapping bit by bit.
Is there an album where he is at his most flowy and at his least shouty?

The most recent one, Powers That B. The first disc, which is a collab with Bjork, is much less shouty than the rest of their stuff. The second disc, which is just DG, has some flowy moments here and there too.
