Finally got round to listening to Government Plates and despite all the hate it gets I still enjoyed it a lot. Does anyone know of any artists similar to these guys? I know B L A C K I E but that's it.

I'm trying to get my head around this.
So, Death Grips have released even more material. They've dropped the first part of a double album. The double album is called 'Powers that b' It's broken into two parts, the first, 'Niggas on the moon' can be downloaded here thirdworlds.net/files/niggas-on-the-moon.zip (just copy and paste into your browser) The second part is called 'Jenny Death' and will be out later this year. Supposedly Bjork features on all 8 of the album tracks for 'niggas on the moon' I've downloaded this myself but I'm a bit burnt out on Death Grips, since The Money Store, their last two efforts haven't hit the same mark and I was starting to lose interest. |

I think the new release is pretty good. Ride put more effort into it than in govt plates an I think they work pretty well with Bjork. The opening track is the highlight of the album IMO.

I'm listening to that now and I'm so over and done with Death Grips to the point that I'm trying to figure out what I even liked about them in the first place.

I never really dug these cats, they had some good moments but they're albums dragged for me, but I actually really respect their stunts. Anyone hear about how some of their shows were supposed to consist only of a projected suicide note and an empty drum kit with their set list playing on the speakers? Pretty rad

Zack was in Hella too, and Garrett the lead vocalist was a vocalist in the band Trash Talk. It is mainly Zack and Garrett the third member was recently added to the group after a drop in their label and is really just a producer and not involved in their live sets. One of the greatest bands alive today.
