Yes, and he looks like Rick Ross' emo little brother.
I didn't think they were too douchey, they sounded pretty much like the human embodiment of their music (or Ride did anyway), WHICH i gave a listen the other day (I think it was Ex-Military). I was a little underwhelmed but it was only one listen. As well, the drums sounded really electronic, which kinda blunted the heaviness i was expecting. Really, it sounded closer to punkish-techno set to less computers, which is cool since it's supposed to be hip hop and all. But i was underwhelmed on that first listen.

I was kind of let down by No Love Deep Web. It did grow on me a bit, but I haven't gone back to it in a while now. There really isn't a stand out track or tracks on it. It's really consistent again, but there was nothing that really gripped me there. I still listen to The Money Store routinely. I've said it before, but literally every track on there bangs. What a great album.

Just found out they're playing at the Oxford Art Factory in january. Used to work there, and I'd still be if the incompetent licensee and manager didn't help screw it over. *whinge*
Anyway, I'm gonna goooo.

I personally enjoyed the majority of the album, but yeah, Deep Web is a really, really freaking good song. No Love is up there with there best, as well. It's the most moshable song they've released to date.

Death Grips "COME UP AND GET ME" - YouTube "Come up and get me" is probably one of my favourite songs off NLDW. The new video is strange, and it really builds up to the song, using silence. |
