The last one of those alternatives is awesome. For whatever reason iTunes put Peeping Tom's album cover for both No Love Deep Web and Enslaved's new album RIITTIIR.

I have listened to it about four times, and I'll agree with Electrophonic Tonic: "No Love" is the best track, and the one that, as well as "Artificial death in the west" (which also is one of the tracks that stands out).
I also like the vocals on "World of dogs". He sounds a little sad, which I didn't really expect.

I don't think this album is as good at The Money Store, but that may change. As many people have said already: it is a grower, as all their other work.

I wish they would use a little more rock and punk-sounds in their songs, for example the guitar on "I want it I need it" and "Spread Eagle Across the Block", but I like the direction they're going now as well.

Oh, is it just me, or does MC Ride remind any of you of Kanye West when he says: "Too many hoes in my mutha****in meal/Asking if I know how a mutha****a feels"
It's weird, but I can't stop thinking of it.

Reminds me of someone commenting on Death Grips' facebook: "Great artwork, Death Grips, but Kanye West is still the biggest dick in my iTunes library."

Anyways, I'm looking forward to listening more to this dark, chaotic, paranoia-filled album!

It's getting better. I don't know if the hype is changing my opinion or if it's really growing so fast on me. Either way, it's beginning to sound amazing.

Also, I'm loving this minimalist bass-heavy production. It's like an album full of "Guillotine" or "Takyon." Which is awesome.

There's definitely a different feeling to this album than on TMS.
It's almost as if they're trying to channel the raw energy of the former release and not quite capturing it, coming across as a little try-hard and over-zealous at times, which could explain the album cover.
In some ways I think the album cover perfectly sums up this record in that it tries a little too hard to be provocative and shocking, whilst ultimately sounding rushed.

It is good, no doubt. There's still catchy hooks, seen in Whammy and No Love and some mind-blowing noisy bass effects that take your mind on a whirling rollercoaster ride when listening through headphones.
Seriously, the distortion of the balance had me feeling like my mind was floating, which was a cool effect as MC Ryde's voice bellowed from side to side, especially on the first few tracks.

There's also a deeper emphasis on MC Ryde's vocals this time around. On TMS, he was used primarily to shout out the hooks, but there's definitely more of an attempt to include him more predominantly this time around, and he has some nice bars, but lyrics and MCing prowess were never this groups strong point.

I remember one of the tracks repeating the sentiment of
'I got some s hit to say just for the f uck of it'
which probably describes this record well.
It is good, no doubt but it just felt as if it was thrown together because Death Grips could.

On first listen, I like it it, doesn't sound like much of a departure from the Money Store though.

I liked it more the more I listened to it; I was a bit underwhelmed on first listen. Much more aggressive than The Money Store (I was wondering which direction they'd go), but that's not necessarily a good thing. TMS is still definitely my favourite album they've done, but I still thought this was solid, which was a relief after hearing the tracks they released in between. Another consistent effort, with no real weak links yet again.

MC Ride is actually Rick Ross' younger brother. The beard is in the family.

Oh, and I'm also liking the new album more and more.
Listening to "Artificial Death in the West" at the end of the album is like escaping a maze full of deadly traps and traumatic experiences where you fight to survive/kill yourself, only to find yourself lost in an endless, cold desert, realizing nothing was really worth it.

In a positive way.

Deep Web is where it's at. Stands toe to toe with the best of The Money Store.
