Dr. Dre is one of my favorite rappers, both his solo work and with NWA.

Dr. Dre's The Chronic beats anything these guys did.

What I meant more was who was your favorite member while in the group, not necessarily who was the best solo artist. I think everyone's answer on that would probably be Dre.

For me it's Cube easily. I love Dr. Dre but he didn't really shine until after NWA.

Amerikkka's Most Wanted is one of the best rap albums ever. That and Death Certificate are better than anything any of the other's have ever done. The Chronic doesn't come close to either. The best thing Dre ever did was produce Doggystyle - still not good enough.

Eazy was great, and Dre had the best solo career. I'm going to go with Cube while they wre together though.

I've never heard Amerikkka's Most Wanted but I quasi-agree with the other things you said. I would rank the albums like this though:

Doggystyle > The Predator > The Chronic > Death Certificate

Hmm. I haven't even heard The Predator so I guess I shouldn't speak so definitively.

But minus The Predator, my list would look like yours but with Amerikkka's Most Wanted at the top and The Chronic below Death Certificate. The Chronic has really good production but I think Ice Cube is an infinitely more entertaining rapper than Dre.

You should definitely check it out. It's the quintessential L.A. riots album.

Absolutely. That's why Dre is better when he has other people rapping, like on Doggystyle.

I will - wait is that the one with "It Was a Good Day"? I love that song, I thought it was on one of his other two I mentioned - maybe I have heard the album.

Anyway, I didn't even have to use my AK today so I'm happy.

Yep, "It Was a Good Day" is on it, and that's not even one of the best songs imo.

Easily Dre. He's one of the great sound architects of the 20th C.

Also, I feel like with Dre I respect his production work a bit more than his solo work.

The Chronic is still one of my all time favorite albums but I didn't like 2001 all that much.

Ice cube has so much charisma, you'd have to try not to like him.

I voted MC Ren simply because of this line "R.E.N. spells ren but I'm raw" ... I love that line.
