OH I did give this album a listen to but I didn't give a little write up on it.

I loved this from beginning to end. He had me hooked on the first track and as I was listening, I was waiting for some filler tracks or something but I didn't hear any. TBH, I haven't listened to Del or any of his other aliases but I really like his humor and flow.

Any recs on what other album I should listen to from him or maybe from Deltron 3030?

Yeah, last month when it got made.

For all the hate for a free album, this was a solid release. From beginning to end, it slams us in the face with attitude.

The opening track, Get it Right Now, has quickly become a concert staple. It flows great on album, and great at shows. I've seen him perform it three times already.

The production is different. It's not too complicated, but in its simplicity, it is very unique. Almost reminds of sitting on a video game loading screen sometimes. You'd have to see for yourself.

I highly recommend these tracks:
"Land of Funk", "Young Adrenaline", "Sometimes I Gotta Get Stupid", Go Against the Grain", "Hardcore Punks Can't Take It"

@DJCham I also highly recommend the albums Both Sides of the Brain, Automatik Statik, It Aint Illegal Yet, Future Development, anything he does man! Even his oldest stuff.

If you've already heard the Deltron album I'd recommend checking out Both Sides of the Brain.

I really like Del but I think he's gotten consistently worse from the beginning (with Deltron 3030 as the best, although that's not exactly a solo album).

I don't like that song posted up there. The production is so soulless and repetitive. And he matches that with repetitive, unimaginative lyrics. I hate saying this because I really just like the guy and want to like his music.

I was even disappointed by most of Both Sides of the Brain and everything subsequent bores me. I'm so sorry to say this -- I don't like his music anymore. If that song is the best of the bunch then I doubt I could even get through this latest album.

Deltron 3030 was subsequent to Both Sides of the Brain. :p:

Oh really? I guess I got Both Sides of the Brain after 3030 then.

I really like I Wish My Brother George was Here and No Need for Alarm - then I was blown away by Deltron and everything that I heard later disappointed me steadily.

Yeah i remember seeing an interview with him a couple years ago, and he was talking about intentionally dumbing down his sound to appeal to more people or something like that.

I'm just curious to see what deltron 2 will sound like, if it ever actually comes out.

I like everything BUT Brother George. Del, himself, hated Brother George. That was a label album with Ice Cube. It's got a couple classics that I dig, like Sleepin On My Couch, Sunny Meadowz, Dr. Bombay, Mistadobalina, but I don't really listen to it anymore. No Need For Alarm was better, but he didn't really start to perfect his ish until Hieroglyphics and/or Both Sides of the Brain. And then, BOOSH, Deltron 3030 was his mastery moment.

That's not really the way to describe it. He's not dumbing it down to appeal to more people. His main message is "I'm doing my thing. I do it for me. Not for you. If you dig it, cool. If not, **** off." Also, the material is not getting dumbed down. What he has done, though, is make the lyrics and production on recent work obviously anti-pop. He doesn't want smooth and catchy. He wants to shake loose any and all fakers and haters. I mean... a car alarm beat? It's dope. You just need to catch the words behind it.

And also, Del has been steady releasing info on Deltron II every few months since Fall/Winter. Additionally, there are two or three Deltron II tracks on youtube already. And there's a behind the scenes making of Deltron II video, about 10 mins. of Del at work recording...

So yea, it's coming out....
