Just recently goturned on to this guy. He has sort of an Outkast type vibe on the stuff i've heard and it's pretty dope.

yeah, I first heard this guy on the XXL freshmen mixtape.

At first I didn't think he stood out enough for my liking amongst some of the others but he's pretty good.

Yeah, the Return of 4eva mixtape is pretty solid all the way through, but that's the only thing i've heard from him.

Yeah I just downloaded it today and I'm going to give it a thorough listen through.

K.R.I.T. Wuz Here and Return of 4eva are both incredible. I am pretty sure that he does his own production too. I love his beats and the way he rhymes. Great southern rapper.

Just listened to Return of 4eva, loved it. Favorite hip hop album this year for sure.

I thought that "Man On Fire" was the best song on that XXL mixtape, downloading his mixtape now. I think he stood out more than any of the other XXL Freshmen.

really? I didn't feel that way at all, that he stood out.

In my opinion, Yelawolf and Big K.R.I.T both stood out because their southern roots. That southern beat always stands out in my idea and really helps them stand out from the bunch.

I agree with YelaWolf, he stood out and sounded like a polished professional that already put years in.

checked him out on Return to 4eva. dude's got a really good message, and his beats...goddamn are they good.

I've only heard him contribute a couple of verses to some Chris Webby tracks, but I was impressed nonetheless. He has a good southern rap sound.

Return Of 4 Eva, was one of my favourite albums of 2011 so I am looking forward to listening to this thing.

Love this track, and it sound's like he has been influenced by the likes of Burial. None of the others really have the same sort of production, but it's a f*cking great album on first listen.

Seriously loving this album.

AOTY So Far

Jesus this guy is prolific.

Damn, thanks for the heads up. I feel like I missed out since I didn't get it earlier.

And so so so so unbelievably consistent. Not put out anything below a 6 out of 10 in my opinion. In fact, I think he averages near enough 8/10 for five albums on my RYM page.

I listened to it today. Some things just pass you by.

I got this a week or two ago when it was released and I been spinning it since. Like Goofle said, this guy is consistent and this might be his most quality and cohesive album yet. The only problem I have with it is that KRIT doesn't really grow here. Although yes, it's possibly his most solid work, it's also very similar to previous outings and it doesn't show a whole lot of growth or expansion on KRIT's part. Although that isn't necessarily a detriment to this specific project, just something I thought was noteworthy.

I listened to it yesterday as well. Not as instantly memorable as Return of 4EVA, but as you're all saying, still keeping within his consistency for releasing solid records.
I particularly liked the song that was sampling James Blake. There's some new ideas in here, but for the most part I think K.R.I.T plays it safe. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy what he does but I'd be interested for him to go out and do something completely different.

4Eva N a Day is still my favourite of his but this is darn close.

Yeah, I'd love for KRIT to do something that just completely surprises us for his next project.
