IMHO.. Lil B is excellent. His garbage songs are too catchy and his actual songs aren't bad, lots of positive messages. He seems extremely dedicated to what he's doing and also I feel like he'd be chill irl. I don't think he's killing music or rap, he's just putting different sounds and messages in the mix. Sure it's popular, but there's a lot worse popular music out there that has no message of love for humanity and solidarity, no joking or trolling. In comparison to like Juicy J or Gucci, Lil B's stuff is just more fun and engaging.

You don't need to have seen shock porn to appreciate lil b, but being familiar with the meme's and elitest nerd mannerisms and language certainly does help.

I don't really know where Devonwilliams is coming from, besides that one age of information song, and the random nonsensical line about being on the computer here or there, there isn't a lot of evidence for it. Lil B is interesting because, more so then other artists, he really leaves room for interpretation.

By the way, i've been listening to Lil B's discography off and on, especially on shuffle, which he now dominates. He is a lot of fun, and how he challenges himself with subject matters and personas never feels contrived or forced, as it does with other musicians. His rhymes aren't too shabby either; usually it's pretty basic, but his wit and lyrics and the personality/character he gives his songs are what make him good.

Juicy J's songs are a lot of fun, and funny, no doubt. In this context, by "fun" I meant trolling. "One felony, two felony, three felony, four felony, five felony, etc....... BITCH I'M BILL BELLAMY."
That's what I meant. Stupid swagged out crazy. Although Gucci Mane approaches that in some aspects with lines like "White lion in the house we named it Miley Cyrus" and getting an ice cream cone tattoed on his face, he doesn't have the redeeming genuine positive songs Lil B does.
