One of his lines from his new song: "Rock like Aesop"

Followed up by: "Light the weed and take off"

I think Mac Miller is an amazing new upcoming artist, that gives us some different type of rap, when i say different rap im saying it doesnt all sound the same like lil wayne rick ross wiz khalifa all sound. He has his own take on music and i like it

Yeah, this guy I was working with was talking Mac Miller up so much. I mean I listen to him but he was going on and on about him.

Asher has a new track out that I like or maybe it's just new to me.

I most likely like it for the hook.

I fall and I rise, with the fire still in my eyes.
My scars and stripes, you know I will survive.
The strength that I find when I dig deep down inside.
Got me still in this fight and I'll be the last man standing!

Now that I think about it, I bet WWE may use this song just for that, maybe for one of their pay per view events.

Bumping this thread just to see if anybody else listened to GO:OD AM?

It's streaming now, and after quite a few listens I can honestly say I'm completely disappointed. Faces had me excited to see what he would do in the future, but this is a very underwhelming project to say the least. There's a couple decent tracks, and he does do some experimenting instrumentally, but overall it's nothing special, and a whole hell of a lot less fun than Faces was.

Scoob V 09-23-2015 05:40 PM

If you haven't listened to his GO:OD AM Album already, i highly suggest you do. It really is his best work yet. His maturity & growth as an artist is really displayed on this album.

Never been a fan of Mac Miller.. TBH stopped listening after that Donald trump song

Matao47 12-13-2015 09:13 PM

He has his good, okay, then ugly moments. I like him overall though

prisoner437x3y0 12-16-2015 12:40 AM

He validates most of us white faux thugs--how come females go crazy over him? I smoke pot(used to) and bastardize modern black culture as good as anybody

Mr.White 12-18-2015 05:01 AM

I like me some Mac Miller

Unheard Masterpiece 12-18-2015 10:10 AM

Mac Miller - Nikes On My Feet still a tune

JiggleMonster 01-27-2017 06:31 PM

It's difficult to deny that his tunes are super catchy.

He’s just resting?

Whew! I heard he was dead.

So wait? He's not dead? That was a close call, I totally thought he overdosed. As long as that little rascal makes it to court for his DWI he recently received.

windsock 09-07-2018 09:24 PM

I've already seen some "he was today's Tupac" comments in the wake of his death. Is every rapper just a Agent Smith-esque clone of Tupac that transforms back into him when they die?

A lot of artist seem to get elevated after death. I dunno why, I bet there's even a name for it.

Some form of martyrdom.

OccultHawk 09-09-2018 01:20 PM

Becoming a martyr doesn’t mean you deserve it. Word is Jesus needed a shower.

They become martyrs for the epidemic of mental health and drug addiction.

Kind of. I mean, they don't become successful at anything other than being dead. But they get recognition because society has a martyr fetish. Like, I don't think Phife Dawg blowing up like this despite the oncoming Tribe album because he died over diabetes. But a rapper gets shot or ODs and they become a martyr.

Nope.

Learning someone you listen to died a few days prior to you finding out is very strange. I didn't even know about it until about a day ago. Well that sucks

I haven't followed him closely enough to know, unfortunately. Here is his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCg...ujFD5TYIrLY9JQ

I can't listen to his style for too long without getting tired of it.
