It's another MF Doom alias, though he does more production then rapping on it.

UMMMMhmmm I don't really like rap all like that but DJ Drama-Gangsta Grillz was a very good album.

Cory, you should check out The Cold Vein by Cannibal Ox, very accessible and totally decent hip hop, it's been one of my favorite albums since the first time I heard it.

since being disappointed by Doom's new effort I have been keeping it old skool recently, some albums have dated more than others but Eric B. and Rakim's four albums still sound fresh and vital to me. I think it's down to Rakim being so ahead of his time rhymewise - he doesn't bore you despite having a laid-back style and just owns every beats he jumps on, must be one of the first 'fast' rappers. I am split between these two for my favourite, by default they must be contenders for fav hip-hop records:

1988

1990

I'm a big fan of this album. Unfortunately Vast Aire's solo albums have been disappointingly mediocre.

I also love me some Cold Vein, but chalk most of that up to EL-P. Not that they aren't brilliant lyricists.

Vast has a great guest appearance on Sadistik's new album.
