I would pick Wu Tang as I think including each member's solo releases they have by far the most quality material. They are unique and RZA is a top 5 producer of all time.

NWA one of the most, if not the most influential but just didn't put enough material out.

The Roots as a unit have the best consistency for me.

Outkast are the innovators and entertainers.

Public Enemy are simply brilliant.

Honourable mentions to A Tribe Called Quest, Run DMC and Slum Village but Wu Tang are the greatest for me.

The above was my groups opinion. Solo Mc's I would say the best is arguably Rakim or Nas but there are are core of about 10 elite rappers who all deserve mentions.

Rakim - legend and pioneer
Nas - street poet and creator of the greatest album from the genre
Andre 3000 - innovator, entertainer, complex rhymes and flows
Big L - master of punchlines and great flamboyant style. Awesome storyteller
Ice Cube - great angry and political rapper, arguably the West coast's finest
2Pac - a poet before rapping and it shows in his lyrics. Clearly influenced by Chuck D and Ice Cube early on but found his niche with Me Against the World. He was more than just Hip-Hop
Ghostface Killah - great storyteller, one of the best discogs in Hip - Hop
Chuck D - one of the best for political Hip-Hop
Biggie - loads of style, insane flows, another great narrator

There are some I have forgotten but all of the above are important in Hip-Hop.

this is a great question and it is hard for me to choose. My favorite rappers of all time are Bone Thugz N Harmony. I do like Nas, Biggie, Pac, Tribe, NWA and a lot of the common named 90s artist they are all good canidates. But currently I do like plenty of rappers but only a few i would put up with greatest like DOOM. I do belive Kendrick can make it someday

Not a fan of JME to be honest but are you into Grime then Sparky?

Pleasantly surprised to see another Grime fan on here.
