For School
Hey guys So for my English 1 Honors class(Im in 9th grade) We have a few choices for a project pertaining to the book Fahrenheit 451(
One of the project options is to make a CD of at least 6 songs that represent themes/characters/events in the story and Rap is my favorite Genre and I want to show it. But i am a rap newbie and the only artist/songs i know that pertain to the theme of the book which is all sort of government related is Immortal Tech songs, but I can't just use his songs because well it's school and Tech is bound to have some cuss words. So want I would like is for you guys.. if you have time to just think of a few songs that pertain to the book as listed above and if you haven't read it just go to sparknotes ( no link because i don't have enough posts srry) . Thanks In Advance guys |

I don't know if Rap is going to be the easiest genre with which to portray Fahrenheit 451...
That said, anything about Fire, oppression, mind-numbing (in the sense that the lack of books was resulting in the populace of the city dying an imagination-death), would do pretty well. Hell if you can get a Mechanical Dog reference in there somehow that'd be pretty epic :P

I read this topic before, but i cant really think of any raps that would relate to Fahrenheit 451. I read that book years ago and watched the movie, so I vaguely remember it... Maybe you should go a different route than rap. |

personally i'd bounce between material on Fear Factory's Demanufacture and Meshuggah's Destroy, Erase, Improve maybe some Slipknot too. cliche choices but they should be simple as hell to find. plus it would be awesome to see the reaction of a grade 9 English teacher to tracks like 'Opium of the People' or 'New Breed'. also... what do i get for doing your homework? |

While we are at this topic "For School", I need some help with an art project. I need a good album artist, one that has done many for one band, or maybe just a few other bands. What we are doing is picking an artist and then making a picture based off/influenced by their work. I really want to design an album cover, thus needing someone who does great work. So if anyone knows anyone or anything, let me know. Anything helps.
