you should look up lil wyte, hes on hypnotize minds - www.lil-wyte.net has a video and 2 songs on it. Dj Paul and Juicy J produce his stuff, so you know its down south gangsta style. Hes from Memphis also. Im not sayin hes the next eminem (cuz hes white and can flow) truth is he wont get the airplay that eminem gets because of the lyrical content but in my opinion he can flow better. Maybe cuz I like the memphis sound. The songs on that site are pretty hardcore gangsta, but hes got alot of songs about acid, and booze. (again like eminem, but not as comical). I like most of eminems stuff, and i think hes got alot of talent, the guy can flow, and hes pretty original and hes one hell of a freestyler (never heard lil wyte freestyle) which is hard as **** to do. But if you like 3-6 then ya, check this guy out, im tellin ya he can flow.

i like old rappers, like Lord Finesse and Grand Master Flash and the Beastie Boys, the innovators of rap and hip hop. i think rap and hip hop were at a time synonyms, but the current music scene has made a distinction. todays rappers are more about speed and beats, while hip hoppers are more about singing.
i may be stupid, so dont restrain from calling me that. |

I consider Ciara and Mario to be Rn'B. Hip-hop is an art form and a musical genre. 3-6 Mafia is just as much hip-hop as Jurassic 5 is. Rap is a verb, an action, and arguably a lyrical style not a genre. Its like calling heavy metal screaming, and sure its characteristic of some of the genre, but is isn't an apt description of the genre as a whole. Hip-hop is musical, cultural, and political and encompasses a diverse array philosophy, style, and music that grew out of the collective psyche of the urban African American experience. Violence, anger, and all of the other characteristics that could be attributed to what we choose to separate from hip-hop and call rap are only one facet of that experience.
