Usher
Thought on Usher?
I really love Usher's old, slow stuff. His stuff that was actually R&B and not dance-pop stuff. I feel gay as hell listening to it alone sometimes, but it's great to set the mood if you're with somebody and trying to set the mood a little bit. All I really listen to anymore is 90s rap, but I just can't deny Usher's talent. Dude is so ridiculously skilled. Unbelievable voice and the best dance moves. Just a smooth operator and one of the last true entertainers out there. Great live too. Here's the slow stuff I'm talkin about First verse of Do It To Me and Superstar. I think 8701 and Confessions are classics... Burn, U Got It Bad, Nice and Slow, Twork it out... All great. Then his party stuff, Yeah w/ Lil Jon is a classic. And I didn't like OMG but I loved In This Club and Daddy's Home |

I like Usher, he's stood the test of time and I think he'll last. His early stuff was good but his new stuff isn't all bad. Pop Ya Collar is a guilty pleasure though, first heard it in school and don't think I've yet to listen to it without bringing back a lot of memories. |

I love everything by Usher old and new.
Yes, you are right that his older material is leaps ahead of his new stuff but I don't dislike his new material either. My love for Usher started with "You make me wanna" and "My Way" 8701 is most definitely a classic. I can play that album all the way through and not get bored of it. So many hits on there and even songs that should have been hits but weren't. My faves from 8701 are If I want to, U don't have to call, Twork it Out, How do I say, U-Turn and U R The One. Confessions I didn't really listen to from front to back which I should one of these days but based on the singles , my favorites are Yeah! , Caught Up, My Boo, Confessions Part II remix and Can you handle it? With Here I Stand, my favorites would have to include Love in this Club, Moving Mountains, Trading Places, His Mistakes and What's a man to do. I can actually relate to what's a man to do because i've been in that situation before. I haven't listened to Raymond Vs. Raymond yet so I don't know but I hated O.M.G. when I first heard it but it grew on me and I love the remixes of it even more. Papers and DJ got us falling in love are also on my list of favorites. I don't really like Daddy's home. not sure why though. Oh and I like that Jay hopped onto Hot Tottie.
