I realise I spelt LINX wrong.
Anyway, It's Gza taking on Raekwon. IMO the best lyricists in Wu, their debut post-Clan solo albums are seen as high watermarks of 90's hiphop. One thing they have in common is the production talents of RZA, who does an amazing job on both, but which one do you prefer? Personally, I prefer Liquid Swords. I love the crisp, clean beats on OB4CL, as well as Raekwons storytelling, but LS has this psychedelic, almost ethereal quality to its production that draws me in every time, I think as an album it tends to veer off down more interesting routes. Tough call though. Last edited by Sneer; 07-18-2010 at 05:49 PM. |
