Still too much of a punchline rapper without much distinction from the rest, but he's definitely getting better, or at least funner to listen to.

Him and thom yorke should do a music video togethor.

I just looked up some of his comedy, he's pretty funny. If he could find some way to combine all his stuff it would be crazy cool
Agree. He's gotten better and has gotten a bit deeper. Punchline rap isn't really my style, but he's got some good writing skills. Got a bit of a weeze and he reminds me a bit of Wayne lite.

Writing comes easy to him because he IS a writer. He wrote a couple of episodes for 30 Rock i believe. He also writes for his comedy sketch team as well. I think that's why he leans a bit on the punchline rap because he's also a comedian.

I can definitely hear where he sounds like Wayne on Freaks and Geeks. On Be Alone though he sounds like one of those singer/rappers like J. Cole/Drake/Kid Cudi types.

Thats the problem though, he's just following other's and not really adding much new. His swag could use some work too :P

meh I don't see it as a bad thing or problem. Not every artist that comes out is going to be bringing something brand new to the game all the time.

Yeah problem wasn't the best word. It is the thing preventing him from blowing up though I feel like. He would be a perfect fit in young money if he looked cooler.

lol probably.

I think he also gets labeled as Nerdcore or backpack rap whatever the hell that is...

that's another thing keeping him from blowing up as well. He touches on that in about two of the songs from his EP

The only reason he isn't blowing up IMO is cause he isn't signed.

@matious you say "punchline rapper" like it's a bad thing, I think that's a perfect way to describe him and he's the best at it. "Freaks and Geeks" alone has tons of killer lines.
