Decent list, I enjoyed Oddisee's record.
Where does Big Boi's record rank on your list was what I was trying to establish, not trying to make any superiority points or anything. Elmatic was last year also. |

Erm, my favourite is probably Self Sacrifice or Trophies. Then Life is Good, VLADR would be after that I guess. There's a bunch of things I wanted to listen to like Cancer 4 Cure but I've listened to mostly rock this year.

Ohh, listen to Cancer 4 Cure, it's awesome. One of my favourites of the year.
Fair enough, as you said earlier we have different opinions on this record, music conversation would be as boring as Big Boi's album if we all felt the same way. |

Bob Dylan - Tempest
Sigur Ros - Valtari Dirty Three - Toward the Low Sun Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day (if this counts) Are three/four I heard and liked, especially Tempest. When I say I have been listening to Rock, I mean trying to become familiar with rock full stop, which means all releases from whatever year, before this year my knowledge of music was all 1 sub genre of dance music and really well known Hip-Hop i.e. 2Pac, Eminem etc... Some of my favourite artists now (Bowie, Led Zep, Judas Priest, Joy Divison, Black Sabbath etc) I hadn't heard an album from before this year, so I've been trying to hear new music instead of being pigeonholed into one genre, which brought me here. |

as far vicious lies and dangerous rumors goes. I think I'm in agreement with manky, this is not a good album. Overwhelming amount of the songs sound like singles. Guest spots are overbearing, just because kid cudi is on the song doesn't mean it has to be a kid cudi song all of a sudden.
It's refreshingly bad, if that makes any sense. It sounds new, im surprised to see Big Boi credited with so much of the production, it just doesn't really come togethor. i kinda like a lot of the songs tho |
