I've seen them described as industrial hip hop, and I did a search on Google to get some names associated with the genre, but I was wondering wether anybody would be kind enough to give me some recommendation as to specific albums (or even tracks) I could start with? Thank you ever so much...and feel free to direct me to an old thread if that's already been covered. I did a threads search, but didn't come up with anything that looked relevant.

Sounds like you need some early Meat Beat Manifesto. More often associated with Industrial and electronic than hip-hop, but their early style was very hip-hop. And based on that Tackhead track I'm checking out now, you should like it - even though it's more aggressive & abrasive. Check out the albums Storm the Studio and Armed Audio Warfare. You might also check out Consolidated - though I've only heard one of their albums.

^ there are better versions/mixes of this song (like below!)...but it's still good and at least there's a video to watch to really put you there.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Sounds pretty good, I'm definitely going to track down those albums, thanks!
