So I was at a media store last week looking through when all of a sudden I found a genre called Skip Hop. WTF is Skip Hop!?

That's the thing, Australian hip hop was just that, not some new name patriotic label. Nor have I ever heard of a requirement "Australian accents only." Most artists here are influenced by American hip hop. I'm still looking for artists online but I can't seem to find any fitting the requirement. Some consider Hilltop Hoods skip hop but they don't rap about beer and food or have a distinctive Australian accent. I used to know a group of boys around my area and they did have a pungent Aussie accent that rapped about vandalism mostly. There was no such genre appearing in stores until recently.
1200 Techniques are pretty good Australian hip hop group btw. I'll have to go through artists in stores and get back to you.
