Busta is consistently good on other people's tracks, however haven't cared for his last few releases

Agreed. I went into his last album thinking that it was going to be another mediocre offering but it really caught me by surprise.

Thanks for anyone who gave me reccomendations! I don't feel like going back and quoting them, because I honestly don't know how long ago it was. All I know is I found solace in this song:

Although the rest of the album didn't quite have what I was looking for. And for anyone confused, I asked for dark stuff. Me likey dark stuff! But I listen to all of it.

Default Any suggestions for hip-hop/rap that is not so main stream?

I don't know of that many, but I do enjoy Atmosphere, Curren$y, and Jay Electronica. Any other suggestions?

I'd recommend signing up to last.fm really, that'll give you a non-stop suppy of hip-hop artists.

but personally I'd recommend you Blue & Exile.

If you haven't checked out Mos Def you should do that. Also try A Tribe Called Quest, earlyish Outkast, MF Doom and Gang Starr.
