I don't know how international this forum is but does anybody know German rappers similar to JAW, Hollywood Hank or Private Paul?
|

My favourite contemporary German rappers are probably Morlockk Dilemma and Hiob. Prety sure you know them, since JAW did stuff with Dilemma. Schaufel & Spaten are also great, check out "Unterm Untergrund: Nur Wenn Dir Die Sonne Zu Hell Ist, Bist Du Zu Untergrund". |

Chill music instrumental recommendations
Hey guys, :)
If I like Fat Jon; Fly Away, Beyond Love, Dreamers, Kissed In Shadow Nujabes; Modal Soul, Tsurugi no Mai, Battlecry Illa J- DFTF Nomak - Force for Truth what are some song recommendations? They don't have to be instrumental, but I usually find instrumentals to be more chill. |
Looking for recommendations :D
Hey everyone, this is my first post as I just recently became familiar with rap music. I listen to a wide variety of bands from just about any other genre out there, and would love to get to know more rap artists.
the thing is, I'm looking for artists that are interesting in terms of music and have a unique sound or a really sophisticated rhythm, and not necessarily lyrical qualities. So far I really liked Abzorbr, Eminem, Kanye West, Tyler The Creator and some of P.O.S's stuff. If it's a mixture in between rap and another genre, even better. No matter how famous the artist, you can safely assume I've never heard him before and I would love to hear the name anyway. :) I apologise in advance if I violated any forum rules that I was not aware of. |

Never heard this Karmin chick before, I'm gonna check her out after hearing this track. And Watsky goes like normal, cool track.
Edit: Aww, she's not really a hiphop artist :( Karmin and Watsky - No Flex Zone |
Not sure whether many people here like German rap.
Still, this is a great mixtape by Hiob and Morlockk Dilemma. |

More of the music I love taking shots at mainstream hiphop.. Apathy's newest single.

I see this is one of those forums where ppl don't know anything about rap or hip hop.

A front is acting like Hip Hop is a music genre, it isn't. Rap is the music genre, hip hop was the movement. My suggestion is to listen to as many artist as possible, even the terrible ones.

damm!!! Some of these foreign cats be gettin' put on!! Like all the Snowgoons affiliates!! Then you had ol' Promoe (Swedish I think) gettin' hooked up proper. Have y'all ever listened to Thomax's remix mixtapes? They're free and he hooks up some of the absolute nastiest tracks you ever heard!!! Peep Vinnie Paz ft. The Clipse - Streets Wars II (thomax remix) if you find his site you can download his mixtapes...the joint where One Man Army (aka One.Be.Lo) gets a thomax remix to "Jenny" is incredible too! Good share, man! |
OneBeLo is top tier for me. Binary Star was one of the first underground groups I was introduced to.
You should check out the Aussy scene, lots of great hiphop from there. |

one of the illest posse cuts and one of the hardest instrumentals in hip-hop, EVER!!! And that comes with a Hip-Hop Homework guarantee so you know it's the truth!! I actually like Senim's verse on that better than One Man Army's. I pray to GOD you heard this tho...it's just good for your soul. |
Nope.. I've only ever listened to Jungle Gym Jungle..
That was dope though. Thanks. Here's a project I started and never finished.. you might appreciate it: http://www.musicbanter.com/rap-hip-h...ver-heard.html The Loyalists |

I love battle rappers 'cause they're big on wordplay and that's one of my favorite things in lyricism. A cleverly-constructed punchline is like the epitome of creativity. That loyalists instrumental is dope! The lyricist's voice didn't really grab me tho...delivery and content was ok. Just didn't leave me reeling for more, nah'mean? I love Diabolic tho 'cause his punchline and metaphor game is strong. Copywrite & Jakki Da Motamouth? Apathy? I have a youtube playlist that has lots of unknown artists or lesser-known hip-hop tracks. give it a listen when you have some downtime. I combined it with my Canibus essentials playlist so there's a lotta intermingling there but there's still a lotta stuff of the lesser-known variety. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...vWLRmCfiAtLtgo |

Splatter
Some very cool and very underground rap from the Ukraine. Great, often experimental beats with lots of samples and pretty cool flow. (I'm counting on Jansz here. Not many other fans of russian rap I know of.) Download for free here: https://splatter2012.bandcamp.com/album/splatter |
