Briana Brandy

Briana Brandy is one of the freshest hip-hop artists in Phoenix. Her edgy music is driven by her love for songwriting. She is also inspired by the many different places she has lived such as The Dominican Republic. She has been doing this since she was sixteen and she is going to be the next big thing.

Hi

I recently listened to Alicia Keys track - It's on again from the OST of Amazing spiderman 2. Really liked it. I only have slow tracks of Alicia keys. can anyone suggest good upbeat tracks by her? I'd prefer only Alicia in it unlike Jay-z in the track Empire state of Mind

Abiade - Yolo

i've followed this artist for sometime, London based, massive emphasis on lyricism and flows with banging beats and no d**kheadedness :)

ABIADE - Illuminati Flow. try that in Youtube

Im new to the forum so can't post the video  :D

djchameleon 06-16-2014 03:17 PM

Mr Mutha****in' ExQuire. His name is very misleading, but his hip hop is great and includes stuff such as 'Some Wise Quote Drake Never Said'

Cuthbert 07-09-2014 04:40 AM

I was gonna post a thread but probably a shiit idea so dumping it here, where are all the albums meant to be out this year?

Run The Jewels 2
Dark Matter
Supreme Clientele Presents... Blue & Cream: The Wally Era

+ New Kanye, Kendrick, Big Boi albums.

djchameleon 07-09-2014 04:52 AM

If they have specific dates just post them in the huge albums of 2014 thread and I will put them in the proper place.

Cuthbert 07-09-2014 05:09 AM

That's kinda what I meant, was hoping for a Hip-Hop thread for this forum but probably no point?

djchameleon 07-09-2014 05:14 AM

Yeah no point. Keep it all together in one place. There are some hip hop releases in that thread but I need to go through and add a few more that are confirmed.

I like conscious rap but find a lot to be corny or too much of a stream of consciousness format. 2 exceptions to this statement would be Watsky(kind of corny) and MF Doom(stream of consciousness), who I do like very much. Oh, and I'm not a fan of rappers that don't have a somewhat intricate rhyme scheme, despite how lyrically meaningful their songs may be(sorry Immortal Technique and Aesop, you guys are just ok in my book). I know that's a pretty strict criteria, so don't feel that you have to work completely within the lines, but who might you guys recommend for me to listen to?

DwnWthVwls 09-25-2014 11:25 AM

Just found this dope ass remix... enjoy!

Freddie Bruno - Hold Music (Full Album)

http://f1.bcbits.com/img/a0963697830_2.jpg

http://illect.bandcamp.com/album/hold-music CLICK ME

Quote:

Emcee. Producer. Member of hip hop groups Phonetic Composition and Deepspace5. The many hats of Freddie Bruno lay the foundation for his 2007 sophomore solo album Hold Music. Assuming greater control over the production than on his debut album, The Ballpoint Composer, Fred B shapes Hold Music into the clearest representation yet of who he is as an artist and a person.

Take a stroll through the 15 tracks of Hold Music and you’ll find both a laid-back aura and a sense of urgency as Fred B opines on the many inspirations and struggles that make up his varied life. You’ll also come across the familiar voices of Playdough, Sivion and Sintax the Terrific.

This is f*cking dope.. just stumbled on it. Love the speed and the beat is hype as f*ck but still soothing:
