Yes I did read the sticky ,but I'd really like to know more and what kind of music you guys (Smart) would recommend i already have the Gza liquidsword album (loving it) and the Enter the 36 Chambers but not much else besides MMlp

i've noticed that the majority of hip hop fans on this site are more oldschool, mid 90's swag. But hip hop today is still something worth listening to. I may be a "commercial" fan but i still really enjoy modern hip hop. J. Cole, Wale, N.E.R.D, Lupe Fiasco, and of course Kanye. There's a lot out their. Just keep you ears and your mind open .

J. Cole, he's part of the new class of hip hop. He's right there with Drake and Wale. I'm still listening over his latest mixtape "Friday Night Lights".

WE MISS YOU by MASE

WE MISS YOU by MASE

The general impression of hip-hop music has always been about the rides, the booty shakin' girls, and the bling bling. Yet I've recently learned to appreciate hip hop and rnb music, and what I heard from this artist is real, organic emotion.

The song is actually a personal tribute song to the artist's late father. It kinda reminded me of P. Diddy's "I'll Be Missing You". It's a sad song, yet I felt an air of good vibes. Very positive and uplifting

Blue Scholars self-titled. One of my favorites.

This song is exactly how I like my hip hop. Loving this song right now. I will says that Deacon's verse completely overshadows Kno's.

lost in the confusion of 7 billion strangers
scared to hope Heaven won't have a touch of the same

That is a brilliant final line.

Kno is a very mediocre, oftentimes bad MC.

But a really great producer.
