Why would I compare him to anyone? I don't think he has much substance.

I think Eminem & Jay-Z both are awesome rapper. Both of them are just best. There rapping style is really good. I love their style.

Sure if compare him to GZA or Aesop Rock, he doesn't look that good, but how about modern mainstream hip hop?
Not really anything to be proud of. Like being the tallest dwarf.

Well that would be a good comparison if all mainstream hip hop was bad, which it isnt.

Good or bad, you were talking about substance.

Well there is different type of substance for different listeners.

In Kanyes case, I feel he has INCREDIBLE musical substance. The dude has a crazy ear for music. I also think he has above-average lyrical substance. He can weave great stories and has a great use of literary devices which make repeat listenings rewarding.

I honestly don't really know who is considered mainstream hip hop and who isn't. Who would you say are some of the good mainstream artists?
