Assuming this question is geared towards individual emcees, i'd personally go for:
Q-Tip Notorious B.I.G. Nas CL Smooth Rakim Black Thought Big Pun Phonte Coleman Masta Ace Kool G Rap This is just my personal favourites based on more factors than is usually involved with top 10 lists, and best this that and the other lists. I think lists like this can often spiral into arguments based on what people THINK the list should be based on who influenced who and technical lyricism, so I've just gone upon my favourites, tailored to a reasonable list. I'll check out some other lists in due time, I'm new around here. Peace. |
