Found my old top 10 rappers, from 2009. Figured I'd post an updated list since I listen to a lot more rap these days and tastes have changed. Not putting them in order though.

Pete Rock & CL Smooth
MF DOOM
Aesop Rock
Souls of Mischief
Biggie
A Tribe Called Quest
Gang Starr
Ludacris
Atmosphere
Blue Scholars

These ten are the rappers I love who put out almost all amazing stuff. Luda's gotten a bit worse as he's moved into the mainstream but still, even on songs I'm not a fan of I can look forward to his verse most of the time. I can't really put Madlib in here after fully going through his stuff, he has some amazing stuff like Shades of Blue but a lot of his work is not that great.

Yeah man. I'm lovin it. I didn't like The Family Sign very much so I'm definitely glad they didn't keep going with that. I feel like he's back to his good old self we all know and love. I thought it started just a bit weak (maybe cuz of that stupid The World Ain't Gonna Die Tonight song) but by the end I'm definitely impressed. Flicker man... awesome.

I'm not digging that Kanye song though, and the one after that We Ain't Gonna Die Tonight is horrible to my ears - beats alright but the lyrics are just crap.

What'd you think?

I ain't really into doing all time top tens and what not cause i feel like there's always someone missing. But i'd go by overall package of talent and career.

Probably be something like this
Slick Rick
Ice Cube
Scarface
Kool G Rap
Ghostface Killah
2Pac
Big Daddy Kane
Rakim
Nas

Then someone like Common, Black Thought, or 3Stacks.

Favs be a whole different list doe.
