Bad Rabbits/K-OS
Some old friends of mine, Bad Rabbits, formerly known as Ecclective Collective, from Boston were in town tonight, and they were opening for this cat K-OS from Toronto. Bad Rabbits blew him out of the water. There always a fun time live:
K-OS was still great. He had an absolutely amazing DJ that worked pretty damn synergistically with the guitar player which was the only other musician, save for when K-OS one would strap on a six-string or drop a bass line on the little Novation set up next to his mic stand. The show left me a little intrigued until I found out how lame his recorded music was compared to his live show. Still more fun than a lame Sunday night sitting at home |

That Bad Rabbits song is cool. Just checking them out on Myspace right now they have a cool blend of RnB, hip hoppyness and dancey synths.
When I downloaded Yes, K-Os's last album, I really liked it. But it hasn't had a lot of staying power and I rarely put it on these days unless I skip straight to I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman, which is still a great song. |
