If we're talking about mainstream hip-hop... I'd say there's just as much garbage as there's ever been. The difference is the lack of good stuff. Of course music is all subjective and blah blah blah. But yeah, as for underground hip hop and... for lack of a better phrase "off the radar" hip hop, it never really went out.

Nope. I don't care what anybody says, I like Lil Wayne. I think Young Money Entertainment is awful, responsible for possibly the worst hip hop song of all time (ignoring My Humps)... but still I like him as a rapper.
