In terms of the mainstream hip hop crowd, I don't think its going to happen because of the albums mentioned in the original post. Lupe is alright, but as said before nothing special, although compared to most he is competing against, maybe he is. Eminem will probably never produce another album worthy of listening to. I won't lie, I enjoy his first two a bit though.

Honestly, I can't stand to listen to the rap being played on the radio (for the most part) today so it would be hard for it to get much worse. It obviously could though I guess haha.

Personally I also can't wait to hear Eminem's Recovery, when he's on form he adds a whole new dimension to hip hop. Not Afraid is a really good track and if it's anything to go by then the album should be great. Does anyone have any info on an official tracklist? I've seen so many different ones!

I cannot say who right now, but am going to give you all the details I can at this time. This is what they call a “blind item.” One of your favourite rappers is going DOWN. OK, the rapper is from the south and he is a pretty slick talker. He talks a lil too damn slick.

Lupe is good but I would have to say artists such as J. Cole, J Electronica, Big Sean, and Wiz Khalifa are gonna save the game this year!

Don't get me wrong. I sometimes enjoy Wiz Khalifa, but I don't think he would be anywhere near the talent bracket if Hip-Hop needed to be saved.
