Ol' Dirty Bastard was a Wu-Tang rapper and easily stood out for his sloppy, off-beat, and dangerously unstable style. To me this guy really put the icing on the cake for the Wu-Tang, adding comic relief and a touch of the absurd.
Bringing him up because I just got the Return to the 36 Chambers album and I find it absolutely hillarious and charming, but the way I find The Joker off Batman funny - in a sort of he's nobody to mess with kind of way. Sad about his death, but the man was a raving lunatic so you know it was to happen at one point. But then again, was he a raving lunatic? Some have made the assertion that ODB was simply in character. I personally don't buy it because his behavior seemed far too self-destructive. Discuss.
