I commented on the '93 album which you posted about recently and have to say that it holds up so well. Storming album. The Coup - Kill My Landlord came out in the same year and is another lost gem. A little off topic-aplogies but there is so much great Hip Hop out there that got buried with the whole Dr.Dre G-Funk thing in the early 90's that reappraisal of the lesser known albums is definitely in order.

Souls of Mischief rocked live too ... very energetic! During the summer of '96, I saw them, Tha Liks, and The Pharcyde at the HOB Sunset. Great show ... although Fat Lip came out in nothing but a pink speedo so that wasn't fun to have to look at. haha

Just downloaded the album, and am, currently listening to it as I post this. I am really really digging what I have heard so far. Great word play, iced onto these tracks by some brilliant delivery.

As a NY backpacker...im always partial to nyc.....but 93 til infinity blew me away the first time i heard it...no offense but i thought it was a NYC group when I heard it....the wordplay, the jazzy production, the delivery.....i was gassed when they said they was from Oakland.....we bumped this loud in the Bronx....and that was during the east/west beef thing..
