Aceyalone
Probably most known as a member of Freestyle Fellowship, Aceyalone is probably one of the funnest rappers ever. His flow is really jumpy, while maintaining an easy to follow style, his voice is perfect for rapping, and he's extremely creative. He's the head of the Project Blowed collective with Abstract Rude.
Anywhere You Go: Mic Check: Headaches & Woes: Arhythamaticulas These are all from the same album, titled All Balls Don't Bounce. It's from '95. If you'd like a link, let me know. |

I think it's the best hip hop album released this year (at least the best non-instrumental album). Doo wop hasn't really been tapped by hip hop artists, and I think he made it work. It's not his best work lyrically, but it's fun to listen to from start to finish, which I think is what his goal was.

A Book of Human Language is a really great album, as is the instrumental release by Mumbles called A Book of Human Beats. That's how I learned of Aceyalone in the first place.

I guess I just favor Mumbles' production.
