Blu & Exile
Deltron 3030 But for me it has to be Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek). Train of Thought would probably make my top 10 hip hop albums, just something about the two of them together. Layed back and soulful production and some great verses from Kweli. Beautiful. |

As with Hi-Tek I agree, I like most things he does, pretty consistent I think. The Hi-Teknology trilogy are all better than a lot of things out there, definitely peaked on Train of Thought though. On a side note, and not necessarily a textbook hip hop collaboration, the Nas and Damian Marley album should be interesting when it drops.. |

Nas and Damien Marley, wha?!
I didn't really have a criteria in mind as far as emcee/producer combinations go, just collabs you guys have been digging. So far, everyone mentioned some quality acts. Hi Tek always excels when he's with Talib Kweli, Train of Thought is a very good album, and who can forget all the work he put into Black Star. Big fan of the perpetual Anticon circlejerk as well, Reaching Quiet (Why?/Odd Nosdam) is probably my favorite. |

Yeah, they're collaborating on a full release (Distant Relatives) due pretty soon actually!
Check out the details on Wikipedia, and there's a few leaked snippets about on YouTube. Sounds interesting, and seems like they've both put a lot of effort into it over the years rather than it being a rushed and forced experiment, so here's hoping for some good material and something a little unique. |
