Why does this man exist and what is he doing to my friends' music tastes? Am I the only one that thinks Drake is horrible? I mean he is catchy as hell, and it is good pop music, but that is what Drake should be labeled. Drake is not hip-hop.

most of the Drake songs I have heard, always had lil wayne on the track with him. I don't know why. I haven't heard that Best I ever had song yet. I will give it a listen.

But I agree with you. He sounds a bit like Lil Wayne mixed with Kid Cudi.

Something that shocked me immensely and made me watch a ton of Drake's live performances...

Drake is Jimmy, handicapped Jimmy, from Degrassi: the Next Generation!!
I'm not sure if this is common knowledge but I thought it was hilarious that he's collaborating with Lil' Wayne and others now but used to be handicapped Jimmy on Degrassi.
Everytime that hit single "Best I Ever Had" comes on the radio I get a big smile because a montage of Degrassi scenes runs through my head.
Also, I think his real name is Aubrey Graham (doesn't sound like the most "gangster" name I've seen).

The Chris Brown part where he's the guy in the relationship and talking **** about the ex that's calling, pretty much Drake's part from the first part.

Drake is one of my favourite artists, his best song is the collaboration with Rihanna.

Drake's new album Take Care will be number for a while. Lets just face it Drake is the future and he isn't going anywhere. Plus his style is unique his albums consist of R&B and Hip Hop.

I could care less about drake but I felt like he made electronic music a little more accepting to the urban people. i give him that.

The thing that separates Drake from a lot of other "Hip Hop" Artists is that he is universal. See most people who use the terminology "Hip Hop," Truly don't understand the concept or the meaning behind the genre. If you are looking for straight "hard, street thug, shoot em up bang-bang" music then you might want to refer to rap when catergorizing certain music, especially if you don't know the essence behind Hip Hop.

Hip Hop is open expression. There are no boundaries in which your creative abilities are bound by. Hip Hop is a mixture of many genres, from pop to rap, to jazz to blues. If you listen to Drake and his music, you will notice that he mixes different styles which is what makes him POPULAR. He is able to cross over without compromising what he loves to do.

Hip Hop artist have a message, whether it's positive, negative or pertaining to how they feel.Rap artists scream about girls, money, cars and dope on EVERYTHING THAT THEY RECORD! oh yea and (shake it to the right, tip it to the left) Drake delivers messages throughout everything that he composes. Put your ear closer to speaker and listen a little harder.

Besides autotuning his chorus' and sampling other genres, he is hardly crossing any boundaries. Most of his "different styles" are just the result of good pop producers borrowing elements from whatever else is popular. Drake doesn't compose ****, and he is just as degrading and stereotypical as any other rapper most of the time.

He doesn't seem to rap or sing. I think he just talks about things people like hearing.

He is bum average, and this album is worse than average.

I like that. Simple, and sums up the problem.

Sorry guys, I'm not quite sure what to think...I'm not a fan of drake; however, I have to admit I like the song Headlines....
