Music software
I'm looking for a good program for composing music, generally hiphop (obviously) any ideas?
|
i hear good things about FL Studio, for making beats and such
|
fl studio is good, like the above post stated
takes a little getting used to though u using a keyboard? |
Everyone I know has FL Studio I think, so I presume it's good. I think Pro Tools is considered the best though.
|
Does anyone know about Sonar 8? I was thinking about getting it.

It's fantastic. It's mostly geared to tracking and mixing, but has production value as well. It's a bit hard to figure out at first, but it's basically the same as Pro-Tools in layout, except far more customizable. (and it looks better) As far as this "everyone I know has FruityLoops so it must be good" thing someone said earlier... It's probably because it's the easiest to learn and easiest to pirate off the internet. I've used it, and I am not impressed. |
Easiest to pirate?
Excuse me, gentlemen. |
I don't recommend Reason for the fact that it has a very steep learning curve. IF you are asking around on a board like this one assume you are a newb so Fruity Loops for sequencing, ACID for looping and organizing tracks and soundfordge for tweaking sounds. They're the easiest to get aquainted with. You know the only reason I made a response to this is because of some software that I saw that scared me. I mean it is scary. It is so over my head that it just hurts reading about it. Have a look for a headache :D
