Everything after The Eminem Show is fairly mediocre. It's just that MMLP was so legendary and impactful that people latch on to that Em while trying to pretend that his newer mediocre and ironically really poppy songs are as good as he once was.

Also, he brought technical lyricism to the mainstream.
