I hope Gucci Mane doesn't murder Eminem or somefin.
My favourite songs from relapse is 'Hello' and 'Beautiful'
I like eminem and think stuff like "Stan", "Mockingbird","Beautiful", "Like Toy Soldiers" and "Lose Yourself" is phenominal but lose so much respect for this guy when I hear songs like "Just Lose It" and "We Made You". I just can't take the sudden mood changes when listening to his albums.

With the exception of "When I'm Gone" and MAYBE "Like Toy Soldiers" Em's happily been a joke since 2003 onwards.
The only one of his albums i can tolerate is the Marshall Mathers Lp.
He is a whiny little poser, but that was a sick album.Soon after he started rapping in a half yelling/half singing style, that is about as enjoyable as a colonoscopy with cold instruments.Just my two cents. |
The performance with Elton John at the Grammys was amazing!

I found him repetitive after Marshal Mathers LP.

Eminem...remember when he was just starting out and he was a good rapper?
curtain calls is a good album

I think that the inclusion and degredation of pop icons in his songs have always been trademarks of his style, but you're right; there seems to be an air of desperation in certain, more recent tracks, especially those from "Relapse". You can even hear it in his voice too. He sounds tired and done in. |
I actually don't really like Relapse. He really does seem desperate for attention now. 3 AM just seems kind of random, it's too hard to feel the beat or anything. Although Beautiful is one of the better songs he's made.
Eminem is one of my favourite rappers of all time. I honestly believe that eminem in his prime was unsurpassable by any other rapper past or present. His lyricial ability was flawless and his emotion was expressed greater than any other rapper at the time.
Unfortunately he went from being one of the best to one of the worst. |
SSLP > MMLP > Eminem Show > Relapse > Encore
For me, at least. I've kind of lost touch with him, but he was the first hip-hop artist I had the chance to listen to when my sister would play him. There's always a slight nostalgic feeling to his earlier albums... |

^ me too, The Marshall Mathers LP is my favorite.
Definitely, what would you say your favorite track is from it?
That's very hard to choose, there's a lot of good tracks and it's been a long time i haven't listened to that LP. "Stan" was a favorite, "The way I am" and "Remember me" also.
But I remember "Kim" once made the hair of my neck rise, but I don't recall if it was for a positive or a negative reason. |
I know right! Such a difficult choice! And Kim was probably THE angriest song Eminem ever recorded. I love that song. I also couldn't stop listening to the "Marshall Mathers" song and "Criminal" and "Kill You."
All very awesome tracks |

In my opinion, his albums go:
Marshall Mathers > Eminem Show > Slim Shady > Relapse > Encore I actually quite like Relapse, I love Dre's production and Eminem's flow is pretty strong. His lyrics are garbage though which is the main problem. |
From what I've heard off Relapse, it seems like Eminem is continuing right where he left off. Sadly, I don't mean that in a good way. Eminem made it to the top of the rap game with controversial, if not funny, lyrics with a strong flow and good production. Lately, it seems like he's entered into a cycle of almost cookie-cutter topics. His focus also seems to be on his daughter, which is a good thing, but not necessarily compelling music after the 13th song from him about it.
I am a big Em fan and couldn't wait for relapse to come out, but when I heard it I was highly disappointed. He had a couple good songs on there but most of it was an annoying flow talking about nothing. I see the whole concept of the album and it was a great concept he had in his head but I think he carried it out so wrong.
[QUOTE=IamAlejo;655476]Ha, if you're going to review I'd hope you'd go more in depth than "it sucked". And his flow on Underground is better than most of the stuff he's ever put out since Infinite. Probably another favorite.
That song is awesome ... When I first heard it I fell in love with it. Eminem is a siick rapper, sure he has put out some stuff that wasn't the greatest but what artist hasn't? Relapse is definitely one of his better albums. |
I Love Eminem ... and pretty much anything he puts out I listen to, however some favorites are The Way I Am, Hailie's song and Say What You Say.
The Marshall Mathers LP is by far my favourite out of all his album, Eminem Show second possibly.
^I agree with the Marshall Mathers LP as a favorite, but I put the Slim Shady LP as second. Although those two are neck and neck for me. Now, that being said I think after those two released Eminem has been really inconsistent with his releases. He has a good song here and there, but no albums that are really strong as a whole.
Eminem is a god.
Did anyone hear his new single "Not Afraid"? I think its quite good myself, looking forward to Recovery now. I thought Relapse was very disappointing so hopefully he is coming good now, been a huge fan since he started out.
I really like his music. "The Eminem Show" was excellent in my opinion.
I found out a few months ago that my boyfriend went to high school with Eminem's little brother, and he got beat up all the time. Eminem actually came to the school with some bouncer-looking buddies of his to strike fear into the kids that beat his brother up.
I'm not sure if that's endearing or pathetic. |

Eminem got bullied as a kid I think. :( |
