He is way talented but I get sick of him after hearing a couple songs.

After We made you, it's pretty much downhill. I think medicine ball should have been right before We Made You. |
That Deja Vu song is alright, but remonds me alot of lil waynes...when the drugs are gone.
|
meh, the whole album is good. Hello and the skits are the only stuff not worth listening to. The first 4 songs are hilarious.
|
Hello is actually really good. "My Mom" is the worst song by far on the whole thing.
|
Crack A Bottle is the worst, imo.
Underground is the best. |
my mom is not the worst. I would say crack a bottle is the worst. Isn't that the one with 50 cent? Yeah, it sucks
The best imo are underground, my mom, baghdad, and beautiful |

The skits are okay....after each skit it shows the transition of the type of songs in that little block. My faves would have to be "Hello" "3am" "Insane" "Bagpipes" and "Medicine Ball" Oh and Same song and dance....it's pretty funny to hear him talking about lindsay and britney being his first victims |

I can't believe he made fun of Amy Winehouse, Sarah Palin, Lindsay Lohan AND Britney Spears in one song! He's so edgy.

Sorry if I'm coming in a bit late, but did ya'll happen to catch Relapse? Not his finest record but as a 'comeback' I think it works.

Ironically, I think the single that they've been playing (We made you, or something like that) is the album's weakest point.

His verses and flow are incredibly tight, but the production is pretty boring, and he writes some of the most annoying choruses i've heard.
It almost makes me wish he copied MF dooms style of not even having a chorus, and just have shorter songs where he rhymes continually throughout instead. |

The production on the album is top notch. Probably the best part about the album actually.

Em rips this. Doubt it's a freestyle but if it was wow. If not, still pretty impressive. |

Eminem Relapse
This one is up for debate/discussion. Who liked Eminem's new album Relapse. I thought it was sweat. The production was excellent...He had a few things to say. Obviously it isn't Eminem back when he released what I like to call his trilogy but there is no way he could possibly have matched those because they were a moment in time.
Now the ass raping and what not I agree is far out there but hell it's better than that last P.O.S. he released prior to this one. Thoughts opinions....Lets talk. |
I liked Same Song And Dance.
|
Certain tracks of certain previous albums were decent but mostly directly due to their connection to Dr. Dre, which is like saying raw sewage is actually pretty nice but only because it came out of Mad Max's *******.
(I like Mad Max.) |
I've drifted away from the new album somewhat over time, but it wasn't bad. Underground and Beautiful are great.
|
Well I finally got around to listening to "Relapse" and I don't want to hate it, but it really didn't have a profound effect on me like "The Eminem Show" or "Encore" did. It wasn't bad, but I think the reason why his earlier ones did was because they were really the only hip hop albums that I had and since 2004 I've really expanded my hip hop collection and knowledge. I'll have to give it another listen through headphones before I can really give a full review, I did like the songs Underground, Beautiful, Deja Vu, and Must Be The Ganja though.
Edit: I listened to "Encore" last night after "Relapse" and it really started to make sense to me. "Relapse" was the continuation of "Encore" which had far more in the way of "joke songs" on it than "The Eminem Show" did. After I came to that realization, the album really began to make sense to me, I listened to "Relapse" expecting it to be like "The Eminem Show" and what I thought "Encore" was like. After listening to "Relapse" again in the same mind set that I use to listen to "Encore" I really enjoyed the album. |
Mate played this in the car the other day...
I was like an 'Eminem' album... 'Surely this is going to last minute rubbish'. How wrong I was, this is probably one of his darkest albums to date. Although maybe not as 'hardcore' as his early day stuff, the work behind this Album has really dominated whats come out in hip hop recently. On top of that this is an excellent tribute to the late 'Proof' an album I'm sure he would have been proud of. |
eminem is a beast!
|
just heard his mariah carey diss, i know its not really a song, but its hilarious.
:D:D |
whats going in with Eminem and Mariah? i never understood it
|
Was Obsessed an Eminem diss from Mariah? I think it was.
|
i dunno, i neverever thought there was a feud between them, obviously this song says differently :O
|
Well somehow Em got into it with Nick Cannon (as if that's worthwhile). It was probably over something Em said about Mariah. I mean, that's my uneducated guess.
|
It started with a small line in bagpipes from baghdad.
At first Nick Cannon was so offended that he said he was going to release a diss track against Em but then he took it back. I guess with Obsessed Mariah is trying to say that she didn't like Em at all. She makes it seem like he's still hung up over their little fling or w/e relationship they had. That's how you come to Warning. I love that he put the phone conversations and her voice near the end of it saying how much she likes him. |
