When did you start losing interest in Hip Hop and start listening to other genres?
I'm asking this question in light of Lil Wayne recently saying he's bored with hip hop and is now leaning toward rock. I'd have to say for me personally the beginning of the end started with Nelly and that E.I mess, he sorta gave birth to lyrical lunacy. And before anybody brings him up I know Greg Nice never made much sense, but at least Smooth B was standing right beside him, with some what more sane lyrics.

Agreed this thread is a joke, as is Lil Wayne.

Its impossible to lose interest if you truly enjoy the genre. Losing interest just means your to lazy to go find new bands.

Well hip-hop wasn't my starting point with music, I came into it when I was already very well-versed in other genres and I've never particularly lost interest in it. So I guess I can't really relate to your question.
