I think first of all, there is a hypnotic quality to a lot of their beats that I love. Their production is just great overall, and very inventive.
They do have a certain, sparse and precise production style though, which doesn't give you the warmth or energy of more traditional soul and funk influenced hip hop, which either appeals to you or not. Their rapping is top class as well, listen to the flow on the first verse of Ghostlawns, it's brilliant. Lyrically they can sometimes be a little too cryptic, and not quite up there with the best, but still very solid. |

okay, voting Antipop for a laugh is one thing, but can you imagine hip hop without the Wu? Would antipop consortium exist if they'd grown up on A Tribe Called Quest and Dr. Dre? There's an entire facet of the genre missing there. A limb. Don't leave hip-hop crippled with your vote!
