Default Hip-Hop Battle Heat 3

Sage Francis:
He made some music with Art Official Intelligence, listen to that, it's his best work.

Lupe fiasco:
Overrated, but good
Listen to: Both his albums to get a grasp on his flow.

2pac:
He rapped then died, he's not actually that good. The Cobain of rap.
Listen to: a different rapper

Bone Thugs N Harmony:
They've been around forever, but haven't done anything THAT good.
Listen to: Strength and Loyalty

Gym Class Heroes:
The Fall Out Boy of rap, they're pretty good, but I doubt they'll get any votes.
Listen to: The Papercut Chronicles

Mickey Avalon:
I don't think this was a serious nominatian.

Going with Sage. I don't really care for this bunch, tbh.

The Greatest Verse In Hip Hop History (FaSho, try to keep your personal feeling about artists out of the descriptions...):
With all this extra stressin
The question I wonder is after death, after my last breath
When will I finaly get to rest? Through this supression
they punish the people that's askin questions
And those that possess, steal from the ones without possesions
The message I stress: to make it stop study your lessons
Don't settle for less - even the genius asks-es questions
Be grateful for blessings
Don't ever change, keep your essence
The power is in the people and politics we address
Always do your best, don't let the pressure make you panic
And when you get stranded
And things don't go the way you planned it
Dreamin of riches, in a position of makin a difference
Politicians and hypocrites, they don't wanna listen
If I'm insane, it's the fame made a brother change
It wasn't nuttin like the game
It's just me against the world

Bold statement.

I like Opio in "Burnt".

Anyway, Lupe Fiasco for me.

Lupe Fiasco.

Tupac and Sage are overrated.
Bone Thugs are great, but inconsistant.
Gym Class Heroes are dope, but are usually hit and miss.
Mickey Avalon...Ugh. He's only good for the comedy factor.

Lupe easily, he's the best thing in mainstream hip hop right now, and has two excellent albums under his belt.

I'll second that Gym Class Heroes are better than they often get credit for...
