Synthesize This
Is it me or is the synthesizer going to be the downfall off good wrap. I mean T-pain and Akon are in everybodies songs and they almost always use a voice synth, and Kanye is doing the same thing. Now I'm no rap/hip hop connoisseur, I listen to Snoop, Dr. Dre, Cypress Hill, Pharrell, Eminem and most of Aftermath for that matter, but it just seems no one is puttin out good ol' school rap anymore, that or I'm just not hearin it.
|
Ur just not hearing it. sorry. None of those people were ever good lol. maybe eminem but yeah i agree that synth **** is dumbstyle. Oh well what can ya do. They wanna be Britneys and Christina's....Let em be

Auto tune saved music.
|
Well, auto-tune definitely doesn't make for good music, to me.
But, there's nothing wrong with having fun with it. |
True that. As long as it doesn't turn to overkill, auto tunes an Ok tool.
|
I agree with you but it seems like the theme know a days is to overkill it. It used to be someone would only do it for the beginning but now the whole damn songs got it its kinda annoying after awhile. Makes em all sound the same.
|
Hell, a lot of the radio rap sounds the same though, and they seem to be the ones who do the autotune.
|
Sorry for the bump, but I had to bring up I love Ron Browz voice on the autotune. =/

Folks, rap is going to fade out soon no matter what. Thanks to rappers.
Hip-Hop was once a driving force that was pure. Now, it is corrupt, in that the no-talent allstars have been given a golden key to the top, thus damaging rap's reputation. Not to mention producers are horrible these days. Whatever happened to stereo? |
^ +1.
lest we forget autotune was originally conceived for singers of radio-friendly tat that couldn't sing in tune. I don't care if Kanye West has hijacked it to mope about his ex, it still sounds plastic and sh1t. I mean it's not exactly stevie is it? |
