Sadistik: The Balancing Act (2008)
I randomly downloaded this album, because it was labeled "Hip-Hop", but the album cover screamed otherwise. Much to my surprise, I downloaded one of my favorite albums of 2008. I fell in love with it so quickly, by the end of the week I had ordered me a copy, and gotten my girlfriend to buy herself a T-Shirt. Being Sadistik's debut album, I was surprised that he had so much talent, and had such a great ear for production (Emancipator, Killed Called Computer, Equalibrium, and Varick Pyr). He also had two very well respected UGHH artists on the album (Mac Lethal and Vast Aire). Sadistik's album brings a very atmosphere and moody listening experience, as the listener delves into the slowly progressing intro, Dawn Of The Dead. Luckily, the rest of the album follows and keeps up terrificly, and there's not one song on the album that makes you feel like you have to skip. It's one of those albums that you can pick up and listen front-to-back over and over again. Sadistik's lyrics and lyrical talent go perfectly with the production on the album. He manages to match every beat that he has chosen. I've still never gotten tired of the album, and am highly anticipating his next two projects (One with Kid Called Computer and one with Emancipator). Favorite Tracks: Searching For Some Beautiful and Playing God Least Favorite: N/A Overall: 9/10 Sample Video:

That Look Daggers album would be great. Killer too! Also that Dead Prez... really, anything but mc chris. Which is those ANDD... that Weatherman LP. Which I could do with out. Tech N9ne sounds good though, and that Look Daggers has been getting blown plentifully.
But if this could be done, I would be in debt, yo! Even though my collection is whack. and OOOH the balancing act would be super duper!!

Good review Kirbz, Playing God is definatley my favorite. @Surell: I can get you dead prez's first album, Let's Get Free, right now, but I'd have to dig a bit to get the one I reviewed. Let's Get Free is much better though IMO.

Yo Fasho, it's like, all up to you bro. I love whatever you give me! Also, listened to Akala another time. I do love that album. All heavy.
